Speaking at the launch Paul said “We at Ballyhegan Davitt's recognise the invaluable work of the Marie Curie Cancer Care team and we are privileged to share the proceeds from this event with such a worthy cause. I would urge all our members and friends from around the County to sign up to take part in what will be a really enjoyable day.”

Dorothy Scott from Marie Curie Cancer Care (Craigavon Fundraising Group) praised Ballyhegan for this initiative and said “We at Marie Curie Cancer Care are delighted that Ballyhegan GAC have undertaken to raise much needed funds for our services to the terminally ill. We are so heavily dependent on the generosity of voluntary support that initiatives like this are very warmly welcomed. I wish Ballyhegan every success with this event.”

The route of the 10k run will take the competitors past the famous Ballyhegan orchards to a circuit within the stunning Loughgall Country Park and back to the Ballyhegan club-rooms for the presentation and a barbecue.
