Ballyhegan 2-11 vs Clann Eireann B 1-10

The Ballyhegan Senior Ladies winning streak continued with a hard fought victory over Clann Eireann in Lurgan. Playing in difficult conditions for football Ballyhegan raced to a 5 point lead. However Clann Eireann hit back to level the scores by the end of the half. Ballyhegan led 1-06 to 1-04. Playing into a gale-force wind Ballyhegan nudged another point ahead. However Clann Eireann using the wind advance reduced the deficit to a point. Then came the pivotal moment!!! Ballyhegan produced a great team move which led to Danielle Morgan bagging a super goal. Another nice point put the game out of reach. Four wins in a row, shows the willingness, drive & determination of this team. Special mention must be made to all players in such adverse conditions but particularly to Danielle Morgan, Bronagh Mc Parland and Emma Guy.

Ballyhegan attended the Clann Eirenn 7s in memory of Maire Hoye on Sat. 21st May. Playing with a limited squad the ladies reached the last eight against some of the best teams in Ulster. Well done to all those who participated.

Finally well done to Clodagh Mc Cann who played for Ulster in the recent interprovinicals held in Athlone.
