No Promotion This Season

posted 12 Oct 2015, 13:02 by Ballyhegan Davitts
Despite their best efforts this season our Senior Men's team will remain in the Junior A League for at least one more season. After the final league game against Belleek, promotion was out of our own hands but still possible if other results went our way.
Corrinshego played Clonmore on Friday night past. A Clonmore win or a draw would have seen the Davitts promoted but to their credit Corrinshego, who needed the win to go up for the first time in 30 years, held out and won the game by 5 points meaning they will join league winners Derrynoose and Junior Championship winners Tullysaran in the Intermediate Division in 2016.
Ballyhegan next season will compete with the 3 relegated sides from the Intermediate this season - Collegeland, Dorsey Emmetts and Keady and also with the 2 promoted sides from Junior B - St Patrick's Cullyhanna IIs and Clady.
