Congratulations to our Senior Ladies & management team of Emma McKeever and Gerard O'Hagan. The girls completed a remarkable year on Tuesday night by defeating Mullaghbawn in the league final, completing their league campaign with a 100% success rate—11 wins from 11 games!



Congratulations also this week to our U14 Boys & manager Comghall Morgan. The lads defeated Sarsfields in Annaghmore on Saturday to win their league!

Clubrooms clean up!:

Another clean up of our club rooms is required! If anyone has any free time THIS Saturday (24th)—please call over & lend a hand, from 10am.


Quiz Night:

A fund raising Quiz night will be held in McKeever’s Bar Portadown, Friday October 7th—”Throw-in” 8.30pm.

£5 entry fee. Please spread the word amongst your friends!


Conlon’s School of Irish Dance:

Irish Dancing returns to Ballyhegan club rooms, Saturday October 1st from 10—11.30 am, for all boys & girls over 3 years old. Cost will be £3.50. For further information, please contact Deidre Conlon (TCRG) on 07736051519.


All Ireland Football Final:

Gerard Markey was the lucky winner of the pair of All Ireland tickets last weekend. The club raised over £800 from this raffle—thank you for your support!


Scór Na nÓg:

Ballyhegan Davitt’s will be competing in Scór, the cultural side of the GAA, and in particular Scór Na nÓg this year.

Youth Club Opportunity:

Any Year 13 or Year 14 student that wishes to be a volunteer leader in the Ballyhegan GAC Youth Club Winter Programme 2011 (Tuesday Night  Sports Club / Community Inclusive Sports For All) youth club scheme this autumn which runs from September 27th to November 29th  2011 please contact Shane Fearon, Matthew Mc Cann or Joe McKeever. This is an excellent opportunity and point of reference to gain experience for university/3rd level education or employment application.


Clothing Bank:

A clothing bank now resides in the club car park. This is a new initiative to raise cash for our club, so we’d like to urge our members & local community to deposit any unwanted clothes and textiles. The items will then be exported across Europe and Africa. By doing so the club will get a donation for every bag of clothes recycled. Thank-you in advance for your help and support.

Walk The Line:

DVDs are available from the Walk The Line fashion show — costing £5. Please contact any of the organisers.


Club Gear:

The GAA Store are now stocking the club jersey along with a full range of leisurewear which includes soft shell jacket, hooded top, shorts & socks. These are available in store and online at the link below:


Seat For Life:

To help finance the development of the Athletic Grounds, a scheme whereby the general public can buy a “Seat For Life” has been launched. The bonus for our club, is that we will receive £25 from each seat sold. For more information see the MyArmagh website:
