Quiz Night

The senior ladies ran a very enjoyable and successful Table Quiz in the Famous Grouse last Sunday evening.
Big thank you to all who sponsored prizes, Killian Morgan, in fine form as quizmaster, and of course all those who turned out to support raising almost £1000 on the night.

Unfortunately, the same success was not enjoyed last night in the Semi Final of the championship. Our ladies forced the mighty Crossmaglen Rangers to extra time, only to be narrowly defeated by two points. Once again the ladies wore the Davitts shirt with pride and distinction, a credit to our club and families! Well done girls!

New Merchandise

The back pack's are currently IN STOCK! Cost £15 (£16.50 with initials).

Please get your orders into any committee member, or coach, to be processed by club Treasurer Shane O’Hanlon.

A one off bulk order off the merchandise is still being accumulated. Please fill in the order form (Ballyhegan Order Sheet.xlsx) available from here: www.ballyhegan.com/downloads and return the order with payment to any committee member or coach. I've no further update of the fitting night as yet, but still fill in the order form, let your coach know you're unsure of sizing and this can be updated before the order is processed, after the fitting night. Christmas is just around the corner! :-)

Mizen Head to Malin Head!

Club members (and players of sorts!) past & present - Shane & Dermot O'Hanlon, Adrian Woolsey, Paul & John McGrane (The Street) and Johnnie Quinn  are undertaking a cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head this summer in aid of good causes.  Over 4 Days in August 12 novice cyclists will complete the 400 mile journey the length of Ireland in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, Tiny Life and The Michela Foundation.  A big effort has been made by all the inexperienced cyclists to prepare themselves for this huge challenge and your support would be very much appreciated.

Should anyone wish to donate to these great causes please log on to www.Justgiving.com/mizentomalin-thelonghaul  or text the code MTMC 88 and the amount you wish to donate to 70070.

Clothes Bank

A clothing bank now resides in the club car park. This is a new initiative to raise cash for our club, so we’d like to urge our members & local community to deposit any unwanted clothes and textiles. The items will then be exported across Europe and Africa. By doing so the club will get a donation for every bag of clothes recycled.

Thank-you in advance for your help and support.

ACCEPTED ITEMS INCLUDE:

·         All types of Clothing (Adult, Children & Baby)

·         Bags, Shoes, Hats & Belts

·         Towels, Curtains & Bed Linen

Seat for Life

To help finance the development of the Athletic Grounds, a scheme whereby the general public can buy a “Seat For Life” has been launched. The bonus for our club is that we will receive £25 from each seat sold. For more information see the MyArmagh website:
