Croke Park Trip

We would like to gauge the interest in running a trip to attend a match in Croke Park. The match will be a quarter final of the All Ireland series (teams not known yet). The trip will be for all underage members from U6 to U16. The cost will be £5 per child. We will also need adult volunteers in the ratio 10:1 for U10 to U16, the adults in this group will have their tickets provided free of charge. The U6-U8 children must be supervised on a 1:1 basis these adult tickets will cost €30; payment must be made in advance.

At this stage we would like to have an idea of numbers so if you or your children are interested please let Paul Doherty know by 6.00pm on Monday 16th July.

Ballyhegan Summer Scheme / Youth Club

Another extremely successful summer scheme has now passed and a report, including some photos, is available on our web site:

www.ballyhegan.com/news/ballyhegansummerschemeyouthclub2012

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank our youth club co coordinator Joe McKeever, all the youth leaders, and of course the very enthusiastic participants and their parents!

Referees

If there is anyone interested in representing the club refereeing GO games (U12s), please get in touch. Training is provided! This opportunity is open to everyone, young (good for your CV) and old, male & female!

Mizen Head to Malin Head!

Club members (and players of sorts!) past & present - Shane & Dermot O'Hanlon, Adrian Woolsey, Paul & John McGrane (The Street) and Johnnie Quinn  are undertaking a cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head this summer in aid of good causes.  Over 4 Days in August 12 novice cyclists will complete the 400 mile journey the length of Ireland in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, Tiny Life and The Michela Foundation.  A big effort has been made by all the inexperienced cyclists to prepare themselves for this huge challenge and your support would be very much appreciated.

Should anyone wish to donate to these great causes please log on to www.Justgiving.com/mizentomalin-thelonghaul  or text the code MTMC 88 and the amount you wish to donate to 70070.

The group raised over £700 from the table quiz last Friday night in the Goodyear Sports and Social Club Craigavon!

Fund Raising

Help Ballyhegan Davitts to raise money whenever you shop online:

It's very simple - just visit http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ballyhegandavitts  to register and shop with over 2000 well known retailers like Amazon, Argos, M&S, eBay and many more. Whenever you buy something, the retailer makes a donation to Ballyhegan Davitts.

It won't cost you a penny extra to shop through easyfundraising and you can even save money with special offers and voucher codes.

Zumba Dance Class

Clothes Bank

A clothing bank now resides in the club car park. This is a new initiative to raise cash for our club, so we’d like to urge our members & local community to deposit any unwanted clothes and textiles. The items will then be exported across Europe and Africa. By doing so the club will get a donation for every bag of clothes recycled.

Thank-you in advance for your help and support.

ACCEPTED ITEMS INCLUDE:

·         All types of Clothing (Adult, Children & Baby)

·         Bags, Shoes, Hats & Belts

·         Towels, Curtains & Bed Linen

Seat for Life

To help finance the development of the Athletic Grounds, a scheme whereby the general public can buy a “Seat For Life” has been launched. The bonus for our club is that we will receive £25 from each seat sold. For more information see the MyArmagh website:
