Belfast Marathon Relay

Jarlath McCann our esteemed club member, player & assistant secretary, is running a relay leg of the Belfast Marathon on Monday 7th May with a team from work to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society. We wish his team all the best, and for those wishing to donate to the very worthy cause they can do so via his Just Giving website:

Ballyhegan and Kilmore Community Heritage Association

Ballyhegan and Kilmore Community Heritage Association wind up what has been a very successful season of meetings and visits with what promises to be a very interesting finale, in Kilmore Parish Centre, Wednesday 18th April at 8.00 PM.

Canon William Fleming, the much lauded writer on many aspects of Church and Social History, including a carefully researched and beautifully written account of what is referred to locally as Diamond Grange Church is to discuss “Aspects of Grange Oneilland”.

It is hoped that a few copies of Canon Fleming’s work may be available for purchase on the night everyone is welcome and refreshments will be available as usual.

The Annual meeting of the association will follow. Members are reminded that the annual subscription – of £10 (£15 for two members of a household) – is due. New subscribers are very welcome

Club Survey

Surveys should now have been distributed to households around our local community. I’d like to urge everyone to take some time to complete the survey. It will help the committee of Ballyhegan Davitts CLG to plan for the future, gauge community opinion & harness the talent in our local area. Remember it’s your club! These will be collected in the coming weeks also. If you haven’t had a survey delivered or collected – please get in touch.

Zumba Dance Class

Don’t forget about the Zumba! - Monday Nights 8.30pm – 9.30pm.

“It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health.”

For further Information contact Orla McKeever (07725897908) she’ll tell you it is great fun!

Spring Cleaning?

A clothing bank now resides in the club car park. This is a new initiative to raise cash for our club, so we’d like to urge our members & local community to deposit any unwanted clothes and textiles. The items will then be exported across Europe and Africa. By doing so the club will get a donation for every bag of clothes recycled.

Thank-you in advance for your help and support.

ACCEPTED ITEMS INCLUDE:
