Ballyhegan Davitt's GAC Club Notes

(Week Commencing 08/08/11)

Senior Men’s Management:

The senior men’s management have stepped aside. The committee would like to sincerely thank Peter McKeever and Paul Johnston for their time, effort & commitment over the past seven months. We wish them all the best in the future.

Dermot Tiffney and Gerard Markey have agreed to take over as a caretaker management team for the rest of the season. Best of luck fella’s!

Club Lotto:

The second instalment of 2011 Ballyhegan Davitt’s Lotto is now upon us. The committee would like to urge our club members to continue to support our club lotto. It is the lifeblood of our club—providing the much needed finance to fund our teams both male & female at all ages & of course the club-house which is used for other community events. The club is always looking for new Lotto contributors, whilst maintaining our current core membership. If there is anyone available to help sell lotto, please respond this email, or indeed to any committee member. Thank you!

Trip to Westport:

FAO: Those going on the Westport Trip, (Saturday 27th August). Payment is due!

Total cost of the trip is £95 (minus £40 deposit) before Monday 15th August. Payment cannot be left to the last minute. (Just to confirm this covers one night B & B + an evening Meal on the Saturday.)

Payment can be made to Tony Keegan, Ciara McKeever or Fergus Nixon.

Clothing Bank:

A clothing bank now resides in the club car park. This is a new initiative to raise cash for our club, so we’d like to urge our members & local community to deposit any unwanted clothes and textiles. The items will then be exported across Europe and Africa. By doing so the club will get a donation for every bag of clothes recycled. Thank-you in advance for your help and support.
