Following the success of the inaugural "Ballyhegan Park n Stride" last year, Ballyhegan Davitt's GAC, in conjunction with Marie Curie Cancer Care are proud to present "Ballyhegan Park n Stride II", A 10K run and 5K walk/run on Friday 5th July 2013.
After last year's excellent turn out of over 120 participants, where many local runners and footballers from the club competing against athletes from all over Ulster including Eglinton, Larne, Newcastle & Omagh, we hope the event can flourish, as word spreads of the unique course. Once again The route of the 10k run will take the competitors past the famous Ballyhegan orchards to a circuit within the stunning Loughgall Country Park and back to the Ballyhegan club-rooms - then for the presentation and a barbecue in the Famous Grouse, Ballyhegan.

“We at Ballyhegan Davitt's recognise the invaluable work of the Marie Curie Cancer Care team and we are privileged to share the proceeds from this event with such a worthy cause. I would urge all our members and friends from around the province to sign up to take part in what will be a really enjoyable day.”
Dorothy Scott from Marie Curie Cancer Care (Craigavon Fundraising Group) praised Ballyhegan for this initiative and said:
“We at Marie Curie Cancer Care are delighted that Ballyhegan GAC have undertaken to raise much needed funds for our services to the terminally ill. We are so heavily dependent on the generosity of voluntary support that initiatives like this are very warmly welcomed. I wish Ballyhegan every success with this event.”
